Types of women you usually see in Nollywood movies.

I was watching a Nollywood movie while I was at the dentists about a day ago when it occurred to me that in most of the movies there are certain types of women that you never fail to find in a typical Nollywood movie. I am writing this post according to the limited number of Nollywood movies I have seen, feel free to correct and add. The types of women are as follows:

1. The Good girl
     This one is usually acted by one of the famous Nollywood female stars like Mercy Johnson or Omotola. She's shy, introverted, submissive, cooks well, beautiful, intelligent and warm hearted. The good girls usually start out by having the rotten luck but then after a few setbacks and all they turn out having a happy ending by getting rich, getting a husband e.t.c, e.t.c.

"Oh don't you worry, I'm going to get my happy ending 'cause I'm the good girl, sucker!"

2.  The Bitch

          The bitch is usually an older woman like a wicked step mother. She is known for tormenting the good girl. They usually are cruel, diabolical, have plucked eyebrows that remain forever arched and are usually known for tying wrappers. They end up either running mad, poor or just out of the film. sometimes they come back begging the good girl for forgiveness. Usually acted by Patience Ozonkwo. The good girl being kind and warm hearted forgives her with a lot of crying........

"Don't even try me, oh, these wickedly plucked eyebrows of mine can kill you, hehehehe!"

3. The Fairy god mother

          The fairy god mother is usually the woman  that ends up helping the good girl. She has a good heart, sometimes is rich and is sometimes related to the bitch; sister, aunt, mother and so on. She is also irritatingly kind hearted.

4. The Dumb rich girl

        This one is the girl you see in the movies chewing gum and can't do simple addition for crap. She is jealous of the good girl and loves her daddy, sometimes they end up having bad luck, get pregnant, die or get cut from the movie. Sometimes they turn good and help the good girls sometimes not.

5. The Bad girl

        Usually seen on university campuses, the bad girl attracts people with her allure, mystery and intimidation. She dresses trashy, talks trashy, walks like the ground is covered in spikes, has a lot of make up, fashionable clothes, high heels and is a sugar daughter or a prostitute. She tries to influence the Good girl but fails, then she turns to either juju or some other mystical force to get what she wants from the Good girl. She ends up either mad or displaced.

"how do you like them apples, bitch?"

These are the women I see a lot in Nollywood movies. Most of them end up having what they want for a while but get the ripple effect of the plan they created. The Good girls always have good endings, the Bad girls not so much. So next time you watch a Nollywood movie be sure to watch out for these women.
